Overview

Based on Plautus’ ancient Greek comedy Amphitryon, this Cole Porter musical revolves around the god Jupiter who hopes to have an earthly affair with the mortal Helen. To win her over, Jupiter disguises himself as Helen’s husband until he is tracked down by his wife Juno. A blend of Greek mythology and modern romance, this musical comedy of lively songs and mistaken identities has all the usual Broadway sparkle.
